The sacred illness® practitioner Training
A six month certification program for practitioners ready to shift the paradigm
illness isn't a problem to be solved. It is a story waiting to be heard.
Something is not working.
The numbers are staggering:
Autoimmune diseases affect 1 in 10 people worldwide—and rising 3-9% annually.
Global cancer cases are projected to rise 77% by 2050.
Chronic pain affects 1.5 billion people—20% of the global population.
Depression and anxiety have risen 25% globally since 2020.
This is not a failure of medicine. It is a failure of philosophy.
The current paradigm says illness is a malfunction, an enemy to be fought, a problem to fix. And what has that philosophy given us? More illness. More suffering. More people feeling broken, scared, and alone in their bodies.
There is another way.
The Sacred Illness® philosophy says something different:
Illness is an intelligent communication pointing toward unsustainable internal conditions
The body is an intelligent ecosystem and illness is a response to an imbalance in that ecosystem
Illness is happening as us and arises out of wise, loving, biochemical programming
Illness is a guide to be trusted, followed, and listened to
Healing is not about returning to "normal"—it is about becoming who you are
The core philosophy states illness is an intelligent and purposeful invitation to stop being who you are not.
This is neuro/mind-body science, straightforward anatomy, physiology, and pathology—looked at through a human, holistic, trauma-informed lens.
This training is designed for physicians, therapists, bodyworkers, and other health and healing practitioners* who feel the limitations of conventional wellness models and are ready to hold space for the most profound layers of the human experience.

Training Dates and Structure
The training is a 6-month program. Our next cohort begins in September 2026.
Weekend 1: September 4-6, 2026
Foundation: Philosophy, paradigm shift, nervous system basics, introduction to the method, live demo
Weekend 2: October 9-11, 2026
The Method: Step-by-step technique, peer practice, live demo, first case consultation
Weekend 3: January 15-17, 2027
Application & Integration: Special situations, grief and fear, advanced technique, case consultations, certification overview
The program is structured across three core weekends, with an optional fourth weekend for those who want to build their practice entirely around this work. Each weekend builds on the previous one, creating a comprehensive foundation for this profound modality.
-
Weekend 1: The Biology of the Shift
Focus: Philosophy and the scientific underpinnings that support it
In this first weekend, we lay the foundation. You will learn why illness is not a malfunction but an intelligent response to chronic disturbance in the ecosystem of the body. You will understand the science behind the philosophy—the anatomy, physiology, and pathology that ground this work in something real and measurable.
What you will learn:
The body as an ecosystem: 37 trillion cells working together, and the nervous system as the master conductor
Why the nervous system is not a passive relay but an active interpreter
How trauma and chronic stress shape the nervous system and create subconscious programming
The four survival responses—fight, flight, freeze, and fawn—and how they become default patterns
How dysregulation leads to chronic illness and why the body cannot heal in survival mode
The Vis Medicatrix Naturae—the body's innate healing capacity—and what blocks it (the obstacle to cure)
A functional orientation to the body and common illness presentations so you can hold space with confidence
-
Weekend 2: The Somatic Work
Focus: The technique—how to facilitate the conversation with the client's illness
Weekend 2 is where philosophy becomes practice. You will learn the specific somatic technique that allows clients to access the subconscious programming held in their bodies.
What you will learn:
How to facilitate a conversation with the client's illness
How to work with the body to access what the conscious mind has forgotten
The process of making the implicit autonomic experience explicit (bringing the subconscious into conscious awareness)
How to map, track, and shape autonomic patterns with your client
How to guide your client to become their own empowering witness
How to move clients safely through the autonomic hierarchy
The art of attunement and holding space for what emerges
Includes: Two pre-recorded demonstration sessions, one case cosulatation
-
Weekend 3: Advanced Cases and Challenging Situations
Focus: Special cases, challenges, advanced techniques, and preparation for certificationWeekend 3 takes you deeper. You will learn how to work with clients who present with complex presentations, who get stuck, or who require a more nuanced approach.
What you will learn:
How to work with special cases and challenging presentations
Advanced techniques for when clients are stuck in freeze or unable to access regulation
How to identify who is and is not an ideal client for this work
How to handle clients with severe dissociation or other complex presentations
The ethics of this work and how to hold the container safely
Preparation for certification
Includes: One pre-recorded demonstration session, two case consultations
-
Business Weekend (Optional)
Focus: Building your practice around this modalityThis optional weekend is for practitioners who want to integrate the Sacred Illness® philosophy into every aspect of their work and build a sustainable practice around it.
What you will learn:
How I use this modality in my own practice
Marketing and the tech side of things
How to talk about this work in a way that lands with potential clients
How to structure your offerings and packages
How to stay in your scope of practice while building a thriving practice
Ethics and boundaries in practice
An overview of the Sacred Illness® Guidebook and how to use it with your clients

Exception 2 – Business Weekend path:
You do not have a certification or licensure or an existing code of ethics, but you commit to attending the optional Business Weekend, which provides a professional Code of Ethics to practice under.
Exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Meet Your Guide
I know the terrain of illness from the inside out. In my twenties, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease—an “incurable illness” where medications and surgery were the only path.
But I couldn’t accept that story.
Through years of deep somatic work, nervous system healing, and uncovering the suppressed parts of myself, I came to see my illness not as punishment—but as initiation.
Healing wasn’t about fixing my body. It was about reclaiming my authentic self.
That journey became the foundation of the Sacred Illness® philosophy—the map I now walk my clients through. It’s the same framework I used to heal, and the same work that has guided dozens of others into clarity, wholeness, and prosperity.
This training is my life's work—it is what my illness led me to and who it invited me to become. But it is not mine alone. It belongs to everyone, and especially to the community of heart-centered practitioners who are ready to do this work in the world. Thank you for your interest in helping me fulfill my mission: spreading this work around the globe.
